Remembering those who lost their lives
September 11, 2001
|
Throughout history there has been turmoil, war and atrocities that man has committed against man. Many of those have gone down in the annals of history. On September 11, 2001, a new level of terror was broadcast live on television, and rebroadcast time and again. Each time we see the images, it is still impossible to believe we aren't in the middle of some super spectacular special effect of a new action adventure film. Although we wish it could be, these images were all too real. This page is dedicated to the families of the 2,996 that perished in the World Trade Center complex, Pentagon, American Airlines Flights 11 and 77, and United Airlines Flights 93 and 175. We pray for those serving our nation in our armed forces and the daunting task ahead of them. May swift justice come to those that committed this act. Our prayers are with those who perished, the families of those who lost loved ones, and those who will perish before this business ends. In 1776, a small group of 13 colonies banded together to fight tyranny and oppression. 225 years later, the citizens of the United States of America again join together as one voice, to condemn those who would attack our freedom and security. |

| A NOTE TO
OUR VISITORS: This page was created and posted in the chaotic
and uncertain days following September 11, 2001. At that time,
every picture had a link and sites had been set up that listed all the
names of the vitcims. As time has gone by, the names have been
lost, the websites shut down, and the energy and patiotism to set things
right have been replaced with apathy. Anger at the hands of
political pundits now blame President Bush for taking his eye off the
target and getting us involved with Iraq when we still had unfinished
business with Afghanistan and Osama bin Laden.
This page is not to point fingers or lay blame. This page has the same purpose as the rest of the 11th Pennsylvania Regiment's website ... to allow you to remember those who gave their lives in the defense of this country. The members of this unit reenact so you can remember the brave men and women who forged a new nation against great odds back in 1776. This memorial page allows you to remember that there was something very bad that happened to the United States on September 11, 2001. Those who forget history are doomed to repeat it. |
